Quest Reliability provides condition assessment and laboratory services (destructive and non-destructive testing) as field services or our in-house materials testing and metallurgical research laboratories.
Specialty NDT. Quest has been an innovator in the specialty NDT field. Our staffs are experienced in the application of most standard NDT techniques, from liquid penetrant testing to radiography to conventional UT and visual inspection techniques. In addition, largely using tools that we have developed and built in our laboratories, we provide specialty NDT capabilities, including: advanced UT, phased array UT, magneto-optical imaging, magnetic flux measurement, induction thermography, infrared thermography (furnace cameras), and laser profilometry of tubes, piping, vessels and tanks. In our materials testing laboratories, we have developed a number of specialty NDT devices, including a carburization detection tool, and an overhead transmission line conductor condition assessment tool (LineCrawlerâ„¢). Our materials scientists, engineers and metallurgists provide expert evaluation of testing data, and prepare clear performance-oriented assessments of the asset condition and associated implications.
Materials Testing Laboratory. Quest Reliability operates comprehensive and sophisticated materials testing laboratories. We are set up for all conventional destructive testing, characterization and materials selection (tensile, compressive, fatigue & fracture, creep, scanning microscopy, etc.) and have a number of more exotic testing capabilities as well, such as an innovative suite of high temperature corrosion testing setups. We can replicate many destructive effects and conditions, and operating environments (high temperature, high pressure) to which test specimens can be subjected to dynamic or static testing of many types.
